Still work

I love print. I miss print.

When I look at student portfolios today, I wish they could experience the pleasure—and the pressure—of being asked to say everything in a single, still, linkless piece of communication. No animation. No scroll. Just art and copy.

To me, print is the closest advertising ever comes to traditional art. It rewards craft, demands clarity, and asks you to create something worth looking at more than once.

One of my favorite pieces of feedback came years after the work ran. A teacher reached out asking for reprints of the Altavista campaign so she could hang them in her classroom.
